Emmanuel Padilla Holguín
Emmanuel Padilla was harpist for the Mexican Child and Youth Symphony Orchestra (OSIM) from 2007 to 2009, with whom he participated in five national tours.
From 2009 to 2013 he was the lead harpist for the Carlos Chávez Youth Symphony Orchestra, and during the summer of 2014 he was part of the Youth Orchestra of the Americas (YOA), formed by young musicians from across the continent performing symphonic and chamber music concerts.
With his music he has done social work in the Dominican Republic, Haiti and Jamaica.
In February of 2015 he was the winner of the Latin American Music Recording Competition, a contest held at JSoM and whose prize entitled him to record his first record production: Three Centuries of Mexican Music for the Harp, available in the United States and Mexico.
In January 2016, he won first place in the advanced category of the Fourth International Harp Competition in Mexico, as well as the Ginastera Harp Concerto Competition at JSoM.
